The music of Triple H hits and he makes his way to the ring. Cena's music then hits and the crowd gets to there feet!
Triple H vs. John Cena
Cena and Triple H locked it up and Triple H grabbed a side headlock and then a hammerlock. Cena reversed but Triple H with a go behind to escape. Triple H laughed and they locked up again and Triple H worked the arm with the wrist lock into a hammerlock and shoved Cena down, and Cena looks frustrated. Another lock up and the fans are nuts here for this one as Triple H backed Cena to the corner and gave Cena a knee to the gut. Triple H hit an elbow in the corner and then Cena went for an FU out of nowhere but Triple H dropped out the back and hit a huge right hand to knock Cena down. The fans chanted for Triple H as they locked up again and Cena was tossed to the outside. Cena came back in with right hands and worked Triple H over in the corner and then sent him to the corner and nailed a back drop for two. Cena nailed a fisherman’s suplex for another two count and then locked in a rear naked choke. Triple H fought out and backed Cena to the corner and went for a right hand but Cena blocked and hit right hands of his own. Cena then sent Triple H hard to the corner and Triple H flipped over the top to the outside! Cena followed out and Triple H gave him a thumb to the eye and then went up the aisle with Cena, but Cena back dropped him onto the steel stage. Cena sent Triple H back into the ring and covered for one, and then hammered away with more right hands. Triple H came back with a high knee and then hammered away with right hands. Triple H choked at Cena and then headed to the outside and whipped Cena right into the ring steps. Triple H nailed a straight right hand to the jaw and then sent Cena back into the ring where he covered for a two count. Triple H nailed a suplex and then scored with a knee drop for another two count. Cena fought back with a shot to the gut and then some right hands but then Triple H came back with the facebuster and then a vicious clothesline for two. Triple H nailed a neckbreaker and again got two. Cena fought back with some kicks to the gut and then some right hands but then Triple H came back with a swinging neckbreaker for another near fall. Triple H locked in a neck vice but Cena fought out but then found himself in a sleeper. Cena fought out again and backed Triple H to the corner and broke clean but then ran into a Triple H boot. Cena then came back with a flying clothesline and right hands and then Triple H kicked him in the gut but ran into another clothesline. Cena nailed a powerslam and then a spinning powerbomb. Cena went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Triple H got up and hit a spinebuster for two! Cena came back with a flying shoulder, and another, and then landed in a sleeper but Cena reversed into a modified side suplex. Cena hit the five knuckle shuffle and hit a drop toe hold and locked in the STFU! Triple H crawled towards the ropes and finally made it. Cena stalked Triple H and went for the FU but Triple H blocked and shoved Cena to the corner and the referee got squashed. Triple H then gave both of them a low blow in one fowl swoop! Triple H went under the ring and pulled out the sledgehammer. Triple H went to nail Cena but Cena fought him off with right hands… Cena ran into the ropes but ran right into a sledgehammer shot from the Game. Triple H crawled into a cover and the referee is coming to and made the count ..1…………………………….2……………………………………………3!! Triple H has done it!! My god... Triple H had to cheat with his sledgehammer to take Cena out! But you have to think... after that victory that Triple H should be in line for a title shot!
Well coming up next is the match we've been waiting for! For the first time ever... the World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in a Ladder Match. The champion HBK defends against the challenge Edge!
World Heavyweight Championship - Ladder Match
Shawn Michaels (c) vs. Edge
Michaels gets a ladder and he takes a swing at Edge and Edge ducks it. They go to the floor and Michaels tries to hit him with the ladder but again Edge gets out of the way. They fight a bit on the floor and they go into the crowd and ultimately Edge gets an advantage on the floor when he nails Michaels with a DDT. Edge quickly grabs a ladder and sets it up and goes for the title and he reaches it but Michaels is back up and he brings him back down to the mat to thwart that attempt. Edge gets an advantage and he sets the ladder up in the corner and he goes to whip Michaels into it but Michaels counters and sends Edge in face first! Michaels gets him back up and tries to get an advantage but Edge takes him down with a clothesline. Edge sets the ladder back up in the corner and he catapults Michaels into it. He once again sets up the ladder and again makes the climb and once again Michaels is up in the nick of time to prevent him from grabbing the gold. Edge puts Michaels in the corner and then puts the ladder on him. Edge runs at Michaels but he simply shoves the ladder into him when he comes charging and knocks him down. Michaels climbs up to the top of the ladder and is right there within arms reach of the title! Michaels looks at the title then looks down and Edge... Michaels then leaps from the ladder and nails a huge elbow drop connecting on Edge! Both men are down and my god what a match we are seeing. Finally the men get to there feet and Michaels has him back up and tries for a bulldog but Edge counters it and toss him onto the ladder. Edge quickly picks up the ladder and puts it in the corner and he grabs Michaels and ties his legs in the rung and he nails a running knee onto him. Michaels is out and Edge easily sets up the ladder and makes the climb but as he was reaching for the belt…Michaels flips him off and that prompts Edge to come back down. Edge folds up the ladder and goes to charge with it and Michaels is back up and he dropkicks the ladder knocking it and Edge to the mat. Michaels quickly opens it up and he puts Edge in between it and after a few slams he goes for a splash and Edge gets out in the nick of time and Michaels smashes his knee on the ladder which must have had him in some legit pain as he was screaming for a few seconds after that. Edge wisely is back up and he tosses Michaels out of the floor and he sets the ladder up and he makes the slow climb because of the back injury. Edge makes it to the belt and he has trouble getting it down when Michaels is back up and he pulls the ladder out from under him leaving him hanging up in the air. Michaels climbs up the ladder himself in the corner of the ring and leaps and spears Edge in mid air while he hung from the belt!! Both Michaels and Edge hit the mat and a "Holy Sh!t" chant starts up!! Finally Shawn makes it to his feet Michaels promptly takes the ladder and puts it over Edge and he climbs up but Edge somehow slides out from under it and he nudges the ladder forward and Michaels flies off and lands rear first on the leg of the ladder. Edge goes outside and gets the BIG ladder and he sets it up and makes the long climb as Michaels is back up and he sets up the smaller ladder. He makes it up to the top and he and Edge battle! Edge gets control and nails the Edgecution from the top of the ladder! Both men are out! Finally, after over a minute of laying there… Edge starts to make it to his feet. Edge sets the ladder back up and starts to climb… he crawls his way up… grabs the title… and… HBK pushes the ladder over! Edge lands face first on the ropes! Both men are down again as this war continues! Oddly…Edge is the first man to make it back to his feet. Edge says it’s over and picks the ladder up. Edge looks like he is going to nail Michaels but suddenly HBK nips up and nails Sweet Chin Music to the ladder that bounces back in Edge’s face!! Edge is down! Michaels picks up the big ladder and sets it up. Michaels climbs to the top… grabs the belt… and pulls it down!! Shawn Michaels has retained the championship!! Suddenly the ladder starts to shake… the ladder falls over and Michaels lands straight on the mat below… it’s Brock Lesnar!! What the hell is Lesnar doing out here! Lesnar grabs Michaels and nails an F5 right on the ladder!! Last time we saw this man was at WrestleMania when he lost his championship! Lesnar grabs the ladder and sticks Michaels’ leg in between and the crushes it! Michaels’ lets out a scream!! Lesnar smiles and locks in the lion tamer! You can hear Michaels’ knee breaking as he locks it in tighter! Finally Lesnar releases the hold then grabs the championship and walks out with it. The EMTs come to the ring and help Michaels’ out as the cameras fade….
