A video package is shown mostly based on tonight's Triple Threat... then BOOM! Off go the fireworks and we are live on PPV with Unforgiven!! Tonight is the night that is long overdue!! The WWE Title is defended in a Triple Threat Match!!! Also here tonight we see a steel cage hanging above the ring! The reason for that is Mick Foley our GM has made the match between Lesnar and Edge a Cage Match!!! Now lets not waste anytime and get this night started!!!
World Tag Team Championship
Eugene and Goldust (c) vs. Simply Priceless
Cody and Eugene to begin. Lock up and a side headlock by Cody. Eugene escapes and then hits a forearm to Cody! Eugene tosses him into the corner and makes a tag to Goldust. Cody then hits a jawbreaker and tags to DiBiase but he gets tripped up by Goldust. Into the headlock by Goldust, to the corner and DiBiase misses a right and leg kicks by Goldust. DiBiase with rights and then slams Goldust to the corner and then beats down Goldust with rights. Uppercuts by DiBiase but Goldust blocked and hit a dropkick. More dropkick follows, Eugene dropkicks Cody and Simply Priceless is cleared from the ring. Finally both men make it back in and Cody takes down Goldust with a knee to the face. Cody with the cover but Goldust kicks out! He lifts him up but Goldust counters and hits a back suplex! Goldust goes for the curtain call but Cody fights it off! Goldust then tags in Eugene and he is on fire with clotheslines to Cody. To the apron and he takes out DiBiase, up top and as Cody distracts the ref DiBiase pulls Eugene off of the top. Cody slams him to the barricade, rolls him back in and covers for 2. Cody then lays the boots to Eugene and tags in DiBiase and he beats down Eugene with rights. The ref pulls DiBiase off of Eugene but he then chokes him out. Cody with a kick to the head as the ref pulls DiBiase off of Eugene and then DiBiase covers for 2. Cody gets tagged back in and gives some rights to the gut of Eugene. Eugene then goes for a tag but Cody stops it and tags in DiBiase. DiBiase chokes Eugene but Eugene gets in a few kicks and rolls him up…1…….2……….No! 2 count! Eugene then jumps back up but DiBiase levels him with a clothesline! Tag in to Cody and they double team Eugene. Cody picks up Eugene but Eugene hits a rock bottom out of nowhere!! Eugene crawls and makes a tag to Goldust! Goldust cleans house and tosses Cody to the outside and hits a powerslam on DiBiase! Goldust poses and DiBiase gets up and Goldust hits the Curtain Call!!! Cover… DiBiase is not the legal man! The ref won’t count! Goldust gets up and Cody comes from behind and rolls him up with tights…..1…………2…………………………3!!! New Tag Team Champions!!!! It’s over! Cody and Ted hop out of the ring with the belts! Goldust stares on from inside the ring and cannot believe it!!
We go backstage into Cena’s locker-room and Triple H walks in…
Cena: Hey man… you ready for tonight… Let’s go out there and take Michaels out of the match and then battle it out, you and me and have the best man win!
Triple H: Actually Cena that’s what I’m here to talk to you about…. That is not our plan tonight. You see… in order to give the match of the year it needs to be me and you one on one! We both deserve a match like that! It was supposed to happen right here tonight but due to Shawn Michaels and his d**n Money in the Bank contract its not. So this is what I’m proposing. You are the champ Cena! You are the man! So tonight we make it a handicap match! Me and you team up and totally beat Michaels to within an inch of his life…then… you pin Michaels and retain your championship!
Cena: What? Are you serious??
Triple H: Absolutely… then after you win that match tonight we will come right back here and sign a contract for Survivor Series… me and you one on one… nobody else! Then we can give these fans exactly what they want! Then we can compete just the 2 of us for that WWE Championship! I just want Michaels done and out of our hair!
Cena: Are you sure about this… you want me to win this one tonight?
Triple H: You are the man Cena! You have proved you are championship material on more than one occasion and tonight is your night my man! We will beat down Michaels together and you make that pinfall!!
Cena: I like it man! I love it!!
Wow... an interesting note backstage. But coming up next Macho Man Randy Savage is forced to go head to head with the debuting UMAGA!
Umaga makes his way to the ring with Vince McMahon followed by Savage who gets a huge ovation!!
"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Umaga
Umaga meets Savage in the aisle and they trade right hands but Umaga beats Savage down. Umaga tosses Savage into the ring and nails some right hands in the corner. Savage comes back with an eye poke and then McMahon got on the apron and Savage took advantage of the distraction with a low blow. Savage rallied with some chops and another low blow! Umaga came back with an uppercut to knock Savage down and then hit a clothesline in the corner. Umaga went for the running butt bump in the corner but Savage rolled to the outside. Umaga followed out and was met with a chop and Umaga again came back with a forearm. Umaga charged at Savage, but Savage moved and Umaga hit the ring steps and post. Back in the ring and Savage stomped at the knee of Umaga, and then hit a chopblock to take him down. Savage went for a chartbuster but Umaga pushed him off and Umaga hit a running headbutt on him and then went for the butt bump again and this time he nailed it. Umaga went to the middle rope and jumped for a head butt but Savage moved and Umaga hits his head! Savage then hit the chartbuster and went up for the elbow but McMahon got on the apron and grabbed his foot! Savage kicked off McMahon and leaped for the elbow but Umaga moved! Umaga then picked him up and nailed the Samoan Spike! 1………2…………3! Umaga picks up the win in his debut match! McMahon then came in the ring and raised the hand of Umaga and laughed down at Savage!
Up next is is Kane vs. Angle in Kurt Angle's Raw debut!!!
Kane vs. Kurt Angle
Angle started it off by nailing Kane with a number of knife edge chops and then Kane launched Angle into the corner and Angle fired back out of the corner with some more rights and kicks into the corner. Angle charged at Kane but Kane side stepped him and tossed him over the top rope to the arena floor. Kane then got out of the ring and grabbed Angle and went to launch him into the ring post but Chris got down from Kane's back and slammed Kane into the post. Angle went for the ankle lock on Kane but Kane powered right out of it. Angle then went off the ropes and gave Kane a drop kick to the legs to send him down to the mat. Angle then went for the ankle lock again but Kane grabbed Angle by the throat and stood up and went for a choke slam but Angle kicked Kane in the knee to break it up. Angle once again went for the ankle lock on Kane and he finally locked it in! Angle applied the pressure!! Kane crawled to get to the ropes and he grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold. Angle hooked Kane in a waist lock and gave him a German suplex and held onto it and gave him two more. Angle went up top and Kane sat right up and grabbed Angle and threw him off the top! The fans go wild as Kane signals for the end! Kane picks up Angle but Angle hits a right hand then goes behind and nails a german! Angle then went to the top rope and came off with a moonsault but Kane moves!! The referee started the count on both men and both men got up at the count of six and Angle grabbed Kane by the arm and went for an armbar but Kane flung Angle right off, like he was nothing. Kane then grabbed Angle by the throat and then picked him up on his shoulders and hit a powerslam! Kane then went to the ring apron and headed to the top rope and came off with a flying clothesline and nailed it!! Kane then signaled for the chokeslam!! Angle gets up and Kane slaps the hand around his neck and picks him up but Angle slides out and grabs the ankle and locks in the Ankle Lock!!! Kane screams in pain as he inches toward the ropes! Kane reaches out but Angle pulls him back to the center! Kane screams more and crawls again over to the ropes but Angle again pulls him back! Kane then spins his body around and kicks Angle but Angle holds on to the lock!! Kane reaches for the ropes but can’t get to them! Kane taps!!! It’s over!!!! Kurt Angle wins his Raw PPV Debut!!!!
We go backstage and Kevin Nash is standing by…
Todd: Big Sexy Kevin Nash… tonight you get Randy Orton in that ring… your thoughts?
Nash: My thoughts? I can’t wait to get his sorry a** in my ring! Orton has been treating everyone on Raw like rookies compared to him when he should be respecting guys like me and the men who have been in the business for awhile. Tonight it’s all about respect and once Randy feels his spine crack on the canvas with the Jackknife… he’ll agree with me!
Up next it is Goldberg and Jericho going head to head!!
Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho
Goldberg and Jericho went to lock up but Jericho ducked. Goldberg then went to work on Jericho in the corner with right hands and knees and then choked Jericho with his boot. Goldberg hit Jericho with some shoulder thrusts in the corner and then whipped him to the ropes but Jericho held on and Goldberg charged him, but Jericho ducked, sending Goldberg outside. Jericho went for a baseball slide but Goldberg side stepped and sent Jericho into the barricade. Goldberg rolled Jericho back inside and then dropped a knee across the face of Jericho. Goldberg hit a neck breaker on Jericho and covered him for two. Goldberg then wrenched on the head and neck of Chris Jericho in the middle of the ring with a modified half nelson. Jericho escaped but Goldberg again locked in a full nelson on Jericho on the canvas as the fans got behind Goldberg. Jericho broke free sending Goldberg to the outside of the ring. Goldberg got back inside and Jericho hit a dropkick to the knee and then kicked away on his quadricep. Goldberg regained control and perched Jericho on the top rope and then went for a suplex, but Jericho knocked him down and then came off with a back elbow for two. Jericho charged at Goldberg with some flying forearms, but Goldberg would not go down. Jericho charged at him again and Goldberg hit a sidewalk slam for two. Goldberg hit a hard shot the lower back of Jericho and then worked him over in the ropes and then choked him on the bottom rope and then with his knee as the fans chanted "Goldberg". Goldberg then hit a back breaker for a near fall. Goldberg draped Jericho's back across his knee and pushed down on Jericho, working on the lower back of Y2J, but Jericho escaped. Goldberg kept in control with a clubbing blow to the back and then picked Jericho up, but Jericho floated over and hit some chops and then kicked Goldberg square in the face and then charged at him with a forearm to knock Goldberg down. Jericho chop blocked the knee of Goldberg and went for the Walls of Jericho, but Goldberg powered out of it. Jericho sent Goldberg into the ropes and then charged at him, but Goldberg hit a huge spear for two! Goldberg looked to go for a powerbomb but Jericho cradled Goldberg 1…….2………..No! Goldberg gets out! Goldberg snapped and hit some right hands on Jericho on the mat and then whipped Jericho to the corner and charged at him but was met by a boot and Jericho hit a bulldog from the middle rope. Jericho went for the Lionsault, but Batista got his knee's up. Goldberg went for a clothesline but Jericho hit the running enziguri!! Cover….1…………2……….No! Goldberg kicked out!! Jericho kicked Goldberg in the head but Goldberg got to his feet and hit some right hands and hit a huge spear to Jericho!! Goldberg roars and hoists up Jericho and nails the jackhammer!!! Cover……1…………..2……………………….3! Goldberg wins it!!! Goldberg wins! Goldberg has been teaching lessons on Raw!! Goldberg gets to his feet and gets his armed raised then poses to the crowd as we get set for the Steel Cage!!
This next match is based on Edge's issues. Lately he has been taking other superstars out with chairs after their matches. Then a few weeks ago Edge went too far as he dragged Lesnar's wife to the parking lot and left her there! Tonight Lesnar hopes for revenge!!
Steel Cage Match
Brock Lesnar vs. Edge
Edge ran for the door at the bell, but Lesnar grabbed him and flung him across the ring. Edge climbed up the cage, but Lesnar pulled him down. Lesnar hit some shoulderblocks in the corner, then hit a forearm uppercut after whipping him across the ring. Edge climbed the cage again, but Lesnar got up on the top rope with him and beat him down. Lesnar pounded Edge in the ring, then hit a shoulderblock for a two count. Edge tried to fight back, but Lesnar out punched him and then hit a clothesline for a two count. Edge hit some punches, then went to climb up the cage again, but Lesnar pulled him back into the ring and hit a clothesline from behind. Lesnar suplexed Edge for a two count. Lesnar started to climb up the cage, kicking away Edge as he tried to stop him. Edge ended up dropkicked Lesnar's legs as he stood on the top rope, and Lesnar fell between the ropes and cage. Edge hit a shoulderblock between the ropes, then rammed the back of Lesnar's head into the cage. Edge hit a baseball slide into Lesnar, then kicked him and drove a knee into his midsection. Edge crawled for the door, but Lesnar pulled him back in. Lesnar went for a slam, but Edge floated over and drove the back of Lesnar's head into the mat. They went to the ropes again, and Batista pulled Edge down with a superplex into the ring. Lesnar climbed up the cage, but Edge met him there. Lesnar rammed Edge into the support beam, and Edge fell into the mat. Lesnar jumped off the top rope for a shoulderblock, but Edge dropkicked him as he came down. Both men were slow to get up. They charged each other, Edge looking for a spear, Lesnar looking for a shoulderblock, and they collided. They slowly got up, and Lesnar rammed Edge back first into the cage. Lesnar hit a clothesline, and got a two count with a sidewalk slam. Edge went for a dropkick off the ropes, but Lesnar swatted it away. Lesnar catapulted Edge into the cage and got a two count. Lesnar whipped Edge across the ring and hit a clothesline, then lifted him up and rammed him into the cage. Edge sidestepped a Lesnar charge and Lesnar ran into a corner where a turnbuckle cover had previously been pulled off. Edge hit a spear for a two count. Edge was bleeding from the mouth. Edge started to climb up the cage, but Lesnar pulled him off and into a spinebuster for a two count. Lesnar lifted Edge for a powerbomb, but Edge grabbed the cage and pulled himself up on it. Edge got on top of the support beams, but Lesnar got onto the top rope and grabbed Edge, pulling him down inside the cage. Edge pushes Lesnar to the canvas the jumps from the ropes but Brock spears him in mid air! Lesnar then picks up Edge and launches him into the side of the cage! Blood is pouring from Edge’s face. Lesnar sticks Edge between his legs and picks him up in a powerbomb positions and rams him into the cage then spins around and powerbombs Edge to the mat!! Lesnar is punishing Edge! Lesnar picks Edge up on his shoulders and walks over to the side of the cage and F5’s him into the side of the cage!!! Edge falls between the ropes and the cage as Lesnar roars to the crowd! Lesnar picks up Edge again on his shoulders and nails an F5 to the center of the ring!! Cover…….1………………..2……………………….3!! It’s over!! Lesnar dominates and is even with Edge!!! Lesnar gets to his feet and gets his hand raised and stares down at Edge!! Lesnar exits the ring as the ref check on Edge… Edge hopefully has now learned his lesson!!
We go backstage Todd is standing by with Shawn Michaels…
Todd: Well Shawn tonight you get a shot at the WWE Championship but originally you weren’t scheduled to even be in it!
Michaels: That’s right Todd… and I can thank Mr. Kennedy for that. People might say I begged him for it and that may be the case… but at the end of the night it was Mr. Kennedy that handed that case to me and told me Good Luck!
Todd: Now I just want to get your word and what we just heard moments ago that it may not be a Triple Threat tonight but more like a Handicap match as Cena and Triple H plan on teaming up on you..
Michaels: That’s what Triple H says… and as far as I’m concerned Triple H is lying through his teeth and Cena still does not see it. But the fact is that I’ve been trying to get that through Cena’s head for months now and I’m finished! Cena can dig his own grave! Tonight I am walking in that ring and yes it may be a handicap match, and yes I may get the heck beat out of me… but whatever happens… at the end of this night I will be WWE Champion!!
Coming up next folks it is Randy Orton one on one with Kevin Nash!!
Randy Orton vs. Kevin Nash
Randy Orton and Nash stared each other down. The bell rang and both men didn't take their eyes off each other. They locked it up and Nash backed Orton to the corner and then Orton reversed, with Nash in the corner and gave a clean break, and Nash shoved him which was met by a slap from Orton. They locked it up again and Nash took him down with a side headlock which was reversed with some leg scissors from Orton, and Orton slapped Big Sexy right in the face one more time. Orton then did his thingyy salute and spat on the chest of Nash and Nash charged at Orton and Orton met him with right hands. Nash came back but Orton blocked and went Nash to the corner and gave him a high back body drop. Orton scored with some uppercuts and then gave Nash hit the snake eyes! Later on, Orton locked in a side headlock on the mat. Nash made it to his feet and backed Randy into the corner and then hit him with an elbow. Nash hit a hard right hand to Orton, repeatedly. Orton fought back with rights of his own, and Orton got the better of Nash and then sent Nash into the corner, sending him to the outside. Orton followed him outside and clotheslined Nash down to the mat and then sent him into the ring apron. Orton threw Nash back inside and hit another uppercut, and again, and one more. Orton hit a fourth uppercut, sending Nash to the mat. Nash came back and nailed a big boot to Orton!! Nash pulled Orton to the corner and went to slam his leg into the post, but Orton pulled Nash in, so Nash went into the post head first. Back inside and Nash got his advantage back and gave Orton a leg grapevine. Nash then dragged Orton to the corner, and slammed Orton's leg into the ring post and steel steps. Nash repeated the move and then got back inside the ring where he again gave Orton a chop block. Nash kicked away at the leg of Orton in the corner and tied it up into the buckle, and then dropped his knee into the back of Orton's knee. Nash dropped an elbow onto the knee of Orton, and worked it over on the mat. Orton escaped with some shots to the head of Nash with his healthy knee and then gave him a series of right hands and whipped Nash to the ropes, but Nash came back with a huge clothesline!! Nash now gets in control and hits a huge sidewalk slam for a 2 count! Nash tosses him into the ropes for a boot but Orton ducks and hits a dropkick on Nash! Orton is poised for the RKO! Nash gets to his feet and Orton goes for it but Nash tosses Orton off and he gets slammed to the canvas! Nash then knees Orton in the gut and puts him between his legs! Nash picks up Orton but Orton slides out and nails an RKO out of nowhere!!!! Orton quickly covers Nash…..1………………2……………………….3!!! Orton pins Nash!!! Wow!! Orton smiles and gets to his feet! He exits the ring but keeps staring towards it! Almost an upset as Orton plants Nash and is victorious tonight!!
Well folks it is time! The main event!! A Triple Threat Match for John Cena's WWE Championship! As we heard earlier tonight it looks as though Cena and Triple H and gonna team up and take Michaels out and give the win. The only problem is Shawn Michaels is a fighter and you can asure yourself he is not going down without a fight!
WWE Championship - Triple Threat Match
John Cena (c) vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels
Michaels slapped Cena and sent him to the outside and then nailed Triple H with a back drop. Michaels hit a cross body over the top onto Cena on the outside and then back in the ring he gave Triple H some right hands. Shawn clotheslined Triple H to the outside and then skinned the cat to get back in before hitting a somersault plancha onto Triple H on the outside! Michaels is on fire tonight!! Michaels fought with Triple H up the aisle with chops but then Triple H came back with a knee to the mid section and then hit some jabs. Triple H went to pedigree Michaels on the stage but Michaels blocked with a back drop. Cena then comes up with a chair but Michaels knocked him down. Michaels throws Triple H head first into the stage and then dives at Cena and hits a cross body on him off the stage and through the floor! Cena is down as Michaels gets to his feet and climbs back up onto the stage but is met with a chair shot from Triple H. Triple H went down to check on Cena and helped him out of his hole as Michaels is busted wide open. Triple H hit some right hands to the head of Shawn as Cena struggles to his feet. Triple H sends Michaels rolled down the aisle and then punts him in the ribs. Triple H tossed Michaels head first into the ring post and then nailed some rights. Triple H hit an arm whip takedown sending Michaels into the barricade. Back in the ring and Triple H kicked at the ribs of Michaels. Triple H hit more punches to Michaels in the corner and then went for a spinebuster but Shawn countered into a DDT! Triple H and Michaels traded right hands with Michaels coming out on top but then Triple H hit a spinebuster. Cena then came back in the ring and began kicking Michaels! Triple H then joined in and both men hit a double suplex! Cena then went up to the top rope and as Michaels attempted to get up he leaped and hit a leg drop to the back of his head! Triple H and Cena both smiled and Triple H pulled Michaels to his feet but Michaels hit a low blow!!! Michaels got up and nailed right hands on Cena and knocked him down with the flying forearm and then nipped up and hit the atomic drop and then a pair of clotheslines followed by a slam. Michaels went up top and came off with the elbow and connected with it! Michaels started to tune the band for Sweet Chin Music! Cena reached his feet and Michaels went for it but Cena nailed a clothesline! All 3 men are down as Triple H begins to get to his feet after the low blow! Now both Cena and Michaels reach there feet but Triple H comes from behind on Michaels and nails the Pedigree!! It’s over! But is Triple H going to let Cena get the pin? Triple H then walks back to his corner and stands there and points down at Michaels and tells Cena “he’s all yours”. Cena smiled and slowly picked Michaels up and hit a fisherman suplex! The crowd boos like crazy as Cena throws Michaels into the ropes and hits the throwback! Cena then looks down at Michaels gives him the you can’t see me! Cena turns around and Triple H kicks Cena right in the gut! What the heck!! Triple H taunts “you can’t see me” to Cena sticks him between his legs for the Pedigree but Cena hits a back body drop!!! Triple H hits the mat and Cena stands there and stares down at him!! Triple H begs off Cena saying he is sorry he didn’t mean it. Cena is completely angered! Triple H gets to his feet and Cena rips into him giving him right and left hands all the way to the corner!!! Cena isn’t holding back for anything!! The fans are going nuts!! We knew all along Triple H get something up his sleeve and the plan backfired!! Cena then picked up The Game and hit the throwback! Cena then hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and waits for Triple H to get up! Triple H stumbles around but gets to his feet and Cena picks him up on his shoulders and hits the FU!!! Cena then turns around and WAM! Michaels nails him with the superkick!!! Michaels covers Cena……….1………………….2……………………………………….3!!!! We got a new champion!!!! Shawn Michaels wins!!!! I can’t believe this!! In one of the most shocking finishes to any match we have seen, Shawn Michaels has won back the Championship!!!
Triple H I’m sure had this planned for the longest time to turn on Cena but the plan backfired when Cena hit the back body drop out of the Pedigree!! Cena turned all his attention to Triple H and then one kick ended it all!!!!
Shawn Michaels poses to the crowd with the WWE Championship!! Michaels has finally one back the biggest prize in the industry! The prize in which he never lost in the first place!
That’s all the time we have tonight ladies and gentlemen… what a night it is gonna be tomorrow! Goodnight everybody!
